Flu Vaccines 2020-21

Page updated on 4 Jan – New clinic added on 9 Jan.

We used all our supplies in October, they normally last until January ! We’re starting to get supplies from the NHS emergency stockpile so we’ve been able to add a clinic for 19th Dec for at risk patients (if you’ve had a text or letter from us).

At risk patiets and anyone over 50 can also go to a local pharmacy for a free flu vaccine.

The flu vaccine clinics will use the same appointment system we had last year. This worked very well with only 2 or 3 people queuing at any time. The difference this year is that you’ll be asked to wait at the front door and invited into the building when the clinician is ready for you.

If you are housebound, please let us know by contacting the Practice on 01535 273227.  Also let us know if you have a carer because they will be eligible for a flu vaccine.

Dates are:

  • Saturday 9 January 2020 – Anyone 50 years old or above, plus at-risk adults under 50 who have received an invitation.

Please book your appointment online (links below) or call us after 11 am.

Please do not come to the surgery if you have:

  • New persistent cough
  • Fever
  • Loss of smell or loss of taste
  • If someone in your household is isolating
  • You have been told to self isolate because of recent travel

When you come:

  • Use a face mask or covering
  • Wear loose clothing so you can roll your sleeve up
